Warranty Info

1. Overview

General Components Ltd. is committed to providing high-quality parking heaters to our distributors and dealers across North America. Our warranty policy follows a "replace, don't fix" approach, ensuring that every malfunctioning heater is replaced with a refurbished unit that meets our stringent quality standards.

2. Warranty Coverage

 The warranty covers the entire heater unit, excluding consumable parts such as glow pin, glow pin screen, O-rings, and burner mesh.

 Refurbished heaters provided under warranty are equipped with new glow pins, glow pin screens, and clean burners with no carbon deposits.

 Each refurbished heater is rigorously tested for a minimum of 30 minutes before being shipped from our warehouse.

3. Warranty Period

 Highway Vehicles and Recreational Vehicles: 2 years or 2000 hours of operation, whichever comes first.

 Off-Highway Vehicles and Marine Vessels: 1 year or 1000 hours of operation, whichever comes first.

4. Warranty Claim Process

 In the event of a heater failure within the warranty period, General Components Ltd. will replace the heater with a refurbished General Components Replacement Heater.

 Distributors and dealers are required to purchase refurbished heaters from General Components Ltd. for replacements under warranty.

 Claims must be submitted through the authorized distributor or dealer from whom the heater was purchased.

 Proof of purchase, including the date of sale and operating hours (where applicable), must be provided when making a claim.

5. Conditions and Exclusions

 The warranty is valid only for heaters installed and operated according to the product’s installation and operation guidelines.

 The warranty does not cover damage or malfunctions caused by:

o Improper installation, maintenance, or operation.

o Unauthorized modifications or repairs.

o Use of non-approved components or accessories.

o Accidents, abuse, misuse, or external factors such as environmental damage.

 The warranty is limited to the replacement of the heater unit and associated labor costs. 

6. Labor and Travel Coverage

 General Components Ltd. will cover labor costs for the replacement of the heater at the agreed labor rates, up to a maximum of 2 hours.

 Travel time is also covered, up to a maximum of 1 hour.

 Any additional labor or travel time beyond these limits will not be covered under this warranty.

7. Limitation of Liability

General Components Ltd.'s liability under this warranty is limited to the replacement of the heater unit and the covered labor and travel costs. We do not assume responsibility for any additional direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the product.

8. Warranty Transferability

This warranty is transferable within the warranty period, provided that the new owner presents proof of the original purchase date and operating hours (if applicable).
