01 · Our Story
Started in 2016.
General Components was founded in 2016 in British Columbia. We started by supplying diesel heaters to truck shops and dealers, who needed a reliable product and a supplier that could back it up with parts and technical support.
We still work with those dealers today, and we now also sell directly online. Our heaters are installed in long-haul trucks, work vans, RVs, boats and off-grid cabins in Canada and the U.S.

Heaters for trucks, boats and RVs.
Our BISON diesel air heaters warm truck bunks, vans, RVs and boats. Our WALRUS coolant heaters pre-heat engines and hydronic systems. WOLF combi heaters, OWL electric heaters and LYNX rooftop air conditioners round out the lineup.
Many of our heaters run through long Canadian winters, from Alberta to northern job sites and BC mountain routes, so reliable cold-weather starting is our top priority.

Warranty, parts and support.
Every heater comes with a 2-year / 2,000-hour limited warranty (1 year for marine and off-highway use). We stock replacement parts for every model we sell.
